Deià
Bordering the municipalities of Valldemossa and Sóller is Deià. Its location between the Tramontana mountains and the Mediterranean Sea makes it the most charming and historic town in Mallorca.
As soon as you arrive, the first thing that catches your attention are the picturesque stone houses. Walking through its steep streets you can reach the spot with the best panoramic views of Deià: the waterfall of Camino des Racó, the best place to start your visit. Descending along the same road is the parish church of Sant Joan Baptista, patron saint of the village. Here you will find a small viewpoint where you can take the best pictures of the Tramontana mountains.
Another of the most popular tourist spots is the cemetery. In it lie famous people who lived in Deià between the 1960s and 1970s, such as the famous writer Robert Graves, whose tomb is almost a pilgrimage site next to his house, which has been converted into a museum.
Finally, don’t forget the town’s main tourist attraction, Cala Deià. Its crystal clear waters and rocks make it one of the best unspoilt coves in Mallorca where you can relax and enjoy the sun.
