Cala Mesquida
Without doubt, one of the best coves and beaches in Mallorca is Cala Mesquida in the north-east of the island. It is a practically virgin beach with white sand and crystal-clear water, surrounded by a natural green landscape. The beauty and the flora and fauna of this cove led the Government of the Balearic Islands to declare it a Natural Area of Special Interest in order to preserve its natural state. Its rocky areas make it one of the best coves for snorkelling and diving.
To reach the beach, follow signs from the Artà-Capdepera road towards Cala Mesquida. You can leave your car in the free car park or in one of the nearby residential streets and then walk about 100 metres to reach the cove.
